ABOUT THE QUIET THINGS
There are things we say every day.
And then there are the things we carry quietly — the sentence we never finished, the call we keep meaning to make, the habit we notice only after it changes, the person we miss while standing in the same room.
The Quiet Things is a collection of stories about those moments.
Not advice. Not life lessons wrapped in a bow.
Just small, human stories about love, marriage, family, friendship, growing older, motherhood, ordinary days, and all the feelings that don’t always know how to introduce themselves.
Some stories may remind you of your mother. Some of your father. Some of a version of yourself you haven’t thought about in years.
And some may simply make you stop for a minute.
Stories about the things we feel but rarely say.
That is the whole idea.
Behind The Quiet Things
The Quiet Things is an independent storytelling project built around small moments that are easy to miss: a cup of tea made the same way for thirty years, a message left unsent, a mother’s habit of putting something extra into your bag, a neighbour who stops knocking.
The stories are written and edited as original short fiction, with everyday details drawn from the ordinary rhythms of family, friendship, marriage and life in India.
The aim is simple: to make stories that feel lived-in rather than manufactured — stories you might finish and immediately think of someone.
